It Is Well With My Soul

Everyone probably knows the story of this hymn, the touching lyrics written by Horatio Spafford. Here's a sampling of the beautiful verses he wrote: "When peace like a river, attendeth my wayWhen sorrows like sea billows rollWhatever my lot, thou hast taught me to sayIt is well, it is well, with my soul It is wellWith my soulIt is well, it is well with my soul..." The music by Philip P. Bliss fits it perfectly and as I've hummed this piece for months, I finally thought it was time to write an arrangement down. The ending slows down after all the arpeggios and triplets have ended, with held chords that remind me that all is truly well and all will work out in God's time.
